Freeing myself from a 39-year imprisoned mind

I lived the first 39 years of my life in prison.

Not the prison with bars and guards, but rather a prison of my own mind. There was just something blocking me from the freedom of an unencumbered life.

Since I was 30 years old, I tried everything from exercise to yoga, meditation to various other esoteric therapies. Things improved but somehow I couldn’t break free. I wondered if I ever would.

After learning about Marisa Peer’s RTT therapy last summer at the MindValley conference in Tallinn, Estonia, I decided to have a look whether or not someone was practicing this technique in Zurich. Thankfully I found and met with Astuti on April 9, 2019.

I am now writing this on May 21, 2019, and I cannot begin to tell you the impact our session has had on my life. I tried everything before, and although I am sure those efforts contributed to the triumphant success of the hypnosis therapy, the breakthrough that occurred on April 9th was truly remarkable.

Astuti expertly and compassionately guided me through some difficult memories from my childhood and allowed me to relive them in order to construct a new internal narrative. This new narrative is based on understanding and love, a brilliant change from the anger and fear of the past.

Everyone who knows me is absolutely floored at the changes. My energy is intense and pristine, physical weight is just falling off of me and I am so much more present. I was always an empathetic and kind person, but my sincerity is now palpable and I am constantly noticing ways to be of service to others. Whether a smile, simple helping hand or significant offer of support…I look at myself now as a karmic warrior seeking to spread love wherever possible.

My life is now based on gratitude and appreciation. The anxiety and stress has gone away, and I can now look at the difficult periods of my past life with happiness because the road ended here. I have no regrets and I see life now as a giant karmic jigsaw puzzle. No more tunnel vision about my own deficiencies or struggles, but rather a wide open mosaic of awareness and love. And where love is not yet present, I see opportunity for it to flood in and heal.

I look back at all of the people who were there for me in my life and I am just overwhelmed at the kindness in this world. I cannot even relate to my life prior to April 9th, it’s truly like another lifetime. It’s as if Astuti helped me wipe slate clean and I am, at 39, able to start all over again.

The most important lesson I learned was to never give up. If I had, I would have never met Astuti and I would not have tasted this new reality. There are many ways to heal yourself and others, hypnosis being one of them. But, whatever you try, you have to commit to it. Commit to being one with love in this world and it can happen for you. And if you commit, you will one day run into someone like Astuti who can help you break through to the other side.

I’d like to share a quote from Terrence McKenna which sums up my thoughts on my journey:
“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed.” Terrence McKenna

Uplift! A journey from burnout to inner peace

“Whatever you choose to do in life,

make sure that you’re also doing it to help others”.

I was 16 when my late father said this to me. With such an intense gaze, he said these words.

I heard him, loud and clear. I remember it like it was yesterday. He didn’t have to say it often. I experienced him being consistent with this all throughout his life – dedicating his life to science to improve lives. He also followed his passion to develop young scientists in any way that he could.

His words have been staying in and with me since.

I experienced a burn out at the end of 2008. Not many people knew in-depth the ins and outs of it – what happened to me; what impact it had on my life; and how I came out from it. Only a handful of people; after I managed to move forward from its worst point.

This experience changed everything in my life, progressively. If my life then was a house, that house collapsed to the ground.
Since then, I’ve been rebuilding my “new house”, one layer at a time, and one area at a time. Carefully, with a lot of support.
It has been a journey filled with realisations, decisions, and forgiveness.

When the opportunity to write and share my story showed up in February this year through “Ignite Your life for Women” book, I jumped in full heartedly.

The book consists of real life stories about how 35 women moved forward after facing life crises, such as grave illnesses, divorces, separation, death, burnout, financial ruins, grieve, career dip, fear of aging etc when one has to start over from the ground up.

“It’s time”, I said to myself. I felt called and ready to share my story about the burnout.
I had only one intention: to offer what I’ve learnt about how to rise from the ashes, like a phoenix, and start to thrive again in a different way. It was about bringing my learnings to be of use for others.

What excited me more was that the proceeds from this book’s sale are going into charities that empower women. Perfect!

“Papa, this is for you”.

I closed my eyes, sent my prayer and pressed “send”. My application email to be one of the authors in this book made its way. The rest was history.

Burn out, like divorce, death, illnesses, etc. are one of the mini-deaths that can happen to anyone. Overwhelming and lonely often describe the emotions that come with it.  That was also how I felt.

Not anymore now. It doesn’t need to be.

Get this book (through this link, you can download it in kindle for free until May 20th 2019), read my story “Uplift! A journey from burnout to inner peace”, read other stories that call you in this book, and let these reflections accompany your journey. Write a review, share your thoughts on what you feel about it. Afterwards, share this book with others. Regardless of the title, the content in this book is helpful for all.

No, you’re not alone. You don’t have to be. And YES, you can rise.

In loving memory of my beloved Dad, Dr. Suwarto Martosudirjo, the man who showed me how to be a loving support for others.

Love and light,
Astuti

What are your words?

When I did my career change and lifestyle overhaul starting in 2016, I asked myself what MY WORDS were then.

In a number of meditations, 3 words came to my awareness: Inner peace – Truth – Visible.

I integrated them into my daily intention and in no time, I started peeling off fears and limiting beliefs, one layer at a time.

It’s still going, as there seems to always be the next level. It becomes more and more subtle yet it’s there.

I’ve come to terms with the truth that I’ll always peel off the next layer.

This delayering Self of fear, doubt, anything that are not truthful that still play out in my system brings visible impact that not only I experience, but seems to benefit others too.

I show up more for myself, my family, my friends and my Clients.

Abundance flows in and out of me and I feel more peaceful being in and with it.

Life is a journey, as it is a healing journey to return to truth and inner peace within.

Pausing once in a while to breathe and reflect, I thought I write this here and now.

Let me ask you – What’s your word? How does it impact you everyday?

Wishing you all the beauties that life offers wherever you are 💜💜💜

Love and light,

Astuti

Unleash your creativity!

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have” – Maya Angelou

We are all born with creative potential. Upon unleashing it, innovation happens. This is why we have the invention of tools, technology, and more. This is why and how humanity invents things.

Creativity is the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. Many people think they have little or no creativity but that’s simply not true, everyone has the capacity to be creative. Sometimes growing up, people forget that they are creative so you just need to be reminded that this is a part of who you are. We also often think creativity is reserved for certain industries or careers, like artists, film, music however it is needed in all walks of life.

Creative thinking is the skilled application of knowledge in new ways, allowing innovation. It is an area that is becoming more and more valued as technology automates tasks and work. Looking at the old world with new eyes is the way forward, coming up with ideas and solutions that are relevant in this fast changing day and age.

Believing that you can be creative is often the first step. Together with the right mindset, encouragement, environment and practice, ideas can start flowing. Being creative is a part of who you are, so allow yourself to create.

Join us for this workshop and find out what is keeping you from creating easily. We will discuss your current beliefs and thoughts as a group, followed by a guided hypnotherapy session, helping you to uncover the root and cause of them. We will work together to introduce positive beliefs that get your creativity moving.

Past participants to these workshops often say they are very positive, supportive, encouraging and often enlightening.

From loneliness to feeling connected

“Loneliness expresses the pain of being alone

and solitude expresses the glory of being alone” – Paul Tillich

There is nothing wrong with being alone (solitude) and enjoying one’s own companionship.

It is that precious time in this hectic and noisy world when you can take time to breathe, enjoy what you encounter and converse with yourself. Solitude gives you an opportunity to evaluate what matters to you and more importantly to take a moment to see things from a different perspective, which can lead to feeling compassion towards others.

Solitude, however, is not the same as loneliness.

Loneliness is the feeling of isolation. This feeling rises up regardless where and what you are doing. Loneliness isn’t just about having an absence of friends. It is a sense of disconnection that exists in the deepest part of your heart, most likely due to judgments one has towards yourself and life.

Mother Teresa says that loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible of poverty. Indeed, it is one of the most feared emotions that humans can experience.

Can loneliness be eliminated entirely? No. It has a purpose, just like any other emotion, like pain, anger, etc. When it arises, it comes with a message that is often useful for you.

What you can do is to fill yourself with healthy beliefs that loneliness does not come too often and stay too long.

Come and discover with hypnotherapy what may be contributing to you feeling loneliness too often and too long. With this understanding, you can change your beliefs to more positive and uplifting ones, which leads you to a heart that feels full and connected.

Past participants to these workshops often say they are very positive, supportive, encouraging and often enlightening.

Trust your intuition

“The only real valuable thing is intuition”- Albert Einstein

Think about it. To start with, as babies, we’re born into this world with an inner knowingness that, regardless how significantly different it feels being outside of our mothers’ wombs, all is well. This knowingness is called intuition. Some people call it the inner voice. Some call it a hunch. Often time, when someone asks how you know, the answer is often “I don’t know. I just know. I feel it in my heart and my gut”.

Intuition is a process that gives us the ability to know something directly without analytic reasoning, bridging the gap between the conscious and non-conscious parts of our mind, and also between instinct and reason. (1) Instinct is an innate inclination towards something or someone or a behavior, beyond learned response.

To make the most effective decisions, we need both intuition and reason.

Intuition helps us to take chances and to venture out into unknown zones. It helps us discover more ways, usually more effectively, to move towards our desires and wishes. It also lets us know what serves us best in a situation when we perceive there is a lot of uncertainty and when most things feel unfamiliar and unknown.

While there is an innate process to gain this clarity in the midst of uncertainty, we don’t always trust our intuition. Sometime we hear it, but often do not easily take any action in accordance with it.

For many of us, we do not even have an open connection with our intuition. “How do I know it is my intuition speaking?”

Exactly! How can you trust something that you are not familiar with? We are not familiar with intuition because it has not always been embraced as part of our upbringing. Again, Albert Einstein is of the following opinion “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created the servant and have forgotten the gift”. When growing up, many of us are conditioned to not trust our intuition. This could be deeply ingrained as a running program in our subconscious mind.

Untapped intuition is a huge dormant support that is in everyone of us.

Come and discover with hypnotherapy what may be holding you back from hearing and trusting your intuition. With this understanding, you can change your beliefs to more positive and uplifting ones. This is not a workshop to improve your skill in tuning into your intuition.

Past participants to these workshops often say they are very positive, supportive, encouraging and often enlightening.
