What is your 2024 key highlight?

 

The embodiment of “I love you and leave you be” is mine.

Yes, this sentence sounds paradoxical. However, its real meaning is loving fully and remaining unattached to the people, things, and ideas I love.

 

This sentence may sound like an on-passing sentence, but trust me, it has taken me fifty years to embody it. This is also why I decided to share my reflection with you now. Turning 50 was a big deal for me. It is a milestone, a huge one, in my life.

 

When one expresses this sentence from a place of fear, this comes out as an act of abandoning.

When one expresses it from a place of love, it is a statement of loving in freedom.

I am grateful that I am expressing “I love you and leave you be” from and with love now.

 

Claiming my sovereignty has been a central theme of my life thus far.

It’s been a consistent, continuous, and pervasive journey, one that I can feel in my bones.

 

The process has been anything but a straight line. Many periods are filled with dark nights of the soul, while others are filled with so much light. I have definitely experienced many breakthroughs. Love essentially wins in my life.

My process is also uniquely mine – timing, speed, and how things unfold.

 

I’ve been a part of many people’s journeys on the same theme, and every path has a different story on how it unfolds.

I see a similar transformation process, yet how it unfolds is so individual.

 

One of the biggest reasons that hold many people (including myself in the past) from fully transforming (i.e. becoming their wholesome selves, creating a life that inspires and feels true to who they are, activating their potential, being with the people that they deeply connect with and living guided by their souls) is the fear of feeling and being disconnected from the people, places, possessions, roles, responsibilities, or anything else they (believe they) love or responsible for.

 

The fear of losing love and belonging is real. Growing always brings along its companion—grief.

 

I understand that, and I’d say that many of us do not even realise we have all of these blocking us until we have a very “on our faces” trigger or are willing to have honest self-conversations about it.

 

We want our loved ones to grow when we grow, change when we do, and transform when it happens to us. Beyond that, we often want others to grow the way we do. Anything other than that is or feels wrong.

We prefer to grow when we have companions with whom to do this.

 

Fortunately, they, like us, have their free wills and destinies, too.

Whether they want to grow and how to do it are in their hands, not ours. It is not our place to decide and control these for them. 

They also have their timing, speed, and process, which may look very different from ours. Many times, we are on different timelines and trajectories.

 

We are not factory-made beings. We are sovereign beings. We have our individual paths, with relevant and unique resources and challenges to awaken our potential.

 

Our healthiest position in this situation is to embody and offer others love, compassion, and acceptance – because we are all equal and born with free will and destinies; these are our divine right and blueprint.

Our responsibility is to process the fears, guilt, pain, and shame that block us from being in this healthy position. Easier said than done, I know. It can be done!

I did it, and you just need to decide to want it and commit to the work to get you there.

 

As we live free from fears, guilt, pain and shame, making the healthiest decisions feels more natural.

 

If we want to embody freedom, we must respect freedom – in ourselves and others.

 

This is how 2024 has been helping me – staying committed to my spiritual growth and exercising compassion and unattachment to everyone and everything else, trusting that:

  1. When I lose connections with some people, new ones (the type of relationships or the people themselves) will show up in my life.
  2. When I transmute limiting beliefs and replace them with uplifting ones, my life shifts.
  3. When I live authentically, I co-create much better with the Universe that the doors of possibilities I can’t even imagine open for me.
  4. When I love and leave others be from a place of wholeness and love in my heart, I embody the ultimate freedom.

 

I am excited to experience what 2025 unfolds for me!

I am happy to close 2024 in a space of peace and fulfilment. It was not smooth sailing!

There are some highlights.

This year, the Universe granted me the prayer to spend quality time with my dearest friends and family, who are spread out in many countries on three continents. It felt miraculous that I got to do that. Wonderful, loving, deep soul connections were experienced to reflect and celebrate our shared bonds and individual growth. This is so precious to me, more than anything else.

 

I gave birth to two additional self-paced online programs that carry the same transformative energy that was in mine – the Source’s unconditional love.

They are the Unconditional Self-Love Embodiment (USLE) Program and the Authentic Wealth Embodiment (AWE) Program.

These are two of my most important creations so far, and they have helped many people transform their lives.

If you wish to grow your confidence in leading your self-transformation in 2025, any of my online programs would help.

 

I completed the 16 weeks of the Youth Mentoring Program with much fulfilment. This is the 3rd year of a pro-bono project I am a part of. I facilitated a transformation process for young refugee warriors (ca. 18-24 years old) to strengthen their emotional resilience through life coaching and trauma healing in virtual groups and one-to-one sessions. I am so grateful I can meet them in person for the first time in 3 years when I visited Indonesia this summer.

 

 

Lastly, my health is good.
Transformation takes a lot from my body. The intensity of 2024 in this regard creates some health worries in some parts of the year. I went through a very exhaustive period during autumn this year. Having had a burnout 16 years ago and learnt a great deal from it, I know how to take care of myself and did so with much dedication.

Tya’s journey in transmuting unexpected dramatic change into

the art of surrender and the soul of food.

 

 

 

I love posting the “Love Wins” story.

 

This time, Tya, an environment enthusiast, shares her journey when she faced an unexpected and dramatic cancellation of the professional high-impact project she was working on.

She reached out to me because she wanted to properly process her emotions, particularly anger, disappointment, unhappiness, and the fear of uncertainty.

I offered her the UPLIFT self-paced program, which she diligently followed.

 

This is a brief story on how, through this program, Tya transmuted the impact of these unexpected changes into surrender, self-acceptance and renewed passion for her life purpose – through food.

The UPLIFT self-paced program is designed for people like Tya, who are going through forced or self-initiated changes and feeling lost, angry, disappointed, and confused, among others.

 

This program is intended to shift those feelings towards more uplifting ones, like clarity, confidence, resilience, focus, centeredness, groundedness, and empowerment.

While every transformation journey is unique for everyone, the process can be similar.

 

The main outcome of her transformation was that Tya deepened her love for herself, her body, her soul, her life and food, through which she wishes to contribute positively to the world.

 

One specific achievement she also made during this period was winning a cooking competition held by the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. You can watch it here.

Let’s start one now!

 

 

One thing I learnt from facilitating transformation journeys for many people is the healing power of telling one’s story.

Yes, telling one’s healing story is healing and integrating.

This is why I invite my clients to write their stories at some point in their journey.

No, they don’t have to share it with others if they don’t want to. This is more for them – to look at their lives from a distance and acknowledge their courage, dedication, commitment and persistence in claiming their lives.

 

Have you ever done it? Try it! You’ll be so happy if you give it a go.

I have, many times.

It is so healing for me to recognise how courageous and strong my younger self was. She did not feel that way when she did what she chose. At the time, fears were often eminent, and she remembered the efforts and the discomfort she had to deal with to keep going.

However, from where I am now, in the present moment, I strongly feel my respect and appreciation towards my younger self. In my meditation, I often speak to my younger self (and my inner child) to praise her. Taking a moment to appreciate myself is truly healing and empowering. Joe Crocker’s “You are so beautiful” song would make the perfect soundtrack for doing this.

 

The “Love Wins!” series is conversations I have with my clients, who are happy to share their stories in a podcast (audio only or both audio and video).

I offer the “Uplifting Stories” section on my website for those who prefer to write.

I do what I can to be a space holder for this powerful phase of their journey.

 

In today’s episode, I sit together with Soraya Rosadha.

Her journey started in 2019 when she experienced burnout for the second time.

This is when our paths crossed – she needed support. She was depleted (mentally, physically and emotionally), lost, confused, and scared then.

 

 

Soraya knew what she did not want to experience anymore but did not know what to do about her condition and situation. This was the beginning of our relationship, which started with intensive one-to-one sessions and, in recent years, through my self-paced online programs.

As we started working together, it was evident that Soraya needed to transition from a life driven by her mind to one led by her heart and grounded in her body. This was the life bridge she needed to cross.

Soraya decided to go for it even when she did not know precisely how the process would unfold. Her commitment to reclaiming her well-being was enough to get her started and stay committed to the process.

 

Following the first one, she discovered many unanticipated bridges within the main life bridge. Her journey had many twists, turns, detours, and blessings.

Moving country twice, before and after the pandemic, getting married and leaving corporate life to become an entrepreneur in a new country is part of her journey.

Growing up in Indonesian culture, she was raised to comply with many rules, norms, conditions, duties and obligations that allowed little space for individuality and uniqueness.

 

Here she is, 5 years later, reflecting on her transformation in this “Love Wins!” conversation.

This episode is Soraya’s unconditional love story for herself, her life and her loved ones.

As much as this is Soraya’s personal story, it contains universal lessons and victorious moments that may inspire us.

Hands-on heart, witnessing such life unfolding is the biggest perk I love receiving, being a transformation catalyst.

The inner journey from negativity, doubt and fears to trust, true love and the ease within

Getting on a transformation journey with Astuti has really changed my life for the better. I came from a rather traumatic background with a lot of unexpected twists and plummeting turns, abuse, neglect and burden from a young age.

 

I was at a point where I felt I couldn’t cope with any more unexpected twists and in a constant need to be in control of the situation, which was an impossible task.

 

The sessions with Astuti were like peeling out the many layers of negativity, doubt and fears, allowing me to discover trust, true love and the ease within.

 

With only a few sessions, I could notice the change within myself.

I could look back to the traumatic pasts without feeling victimized and at present with more satisfaction in life. I’m looking into the future with the trust that everything has its own time and that things will work out for the best for me.

 

I couldn’t be more grateful to Astuti and the changing impact she’s had on my life.

My advice to those considering getting on a journey is to be open-minded and authentic to your own feelings. The magic is awaiting! 🙂

Summer is finally here. What are you up to?

 

I always feel relief whenever summer arrives. It is as if my internal clock is ringing and says…pack up; it is time to recharge.

I love being outdoors, enjoying the breeze and the sunlight. The weather in Switzerland has been more of the opposite for a few months now. Finally, the sun comes and stays for a bit.

 

This is a brief message to wish you all who live in the Northern Hemisphere a wonderful summer 💖

 

 

I started my summer holiday with a road trip to the UK with my brother, Cahyo, and his wife, Akino. We drove around Wales, Scotland, and England (a total of 1,744 miles!).
We had a wonderful time together and were very lucky with the weather: lots of sunshine!

We did something sentimental: we visited the University of Birmingham, where my late father earned his PhD and Master’s degrees 50 years ago. The three of us got quite emotional to be there as the stories that were told to us became more real.

Road trips certainly offer us a unique experience: a combination of exploration, discovery, and connection in ways that other types of travel do not offer. 
 

 

Some of you may travel physically during this period.

A few of you may also like to “travel” emotionally and spiritually during this time. In that case, let me offer you the “Unconditional Self-love Embodiment Program” as support. It is extensive, powerful and free of charge.

 

I started sharing this transformational program on my 50th birthday in March this year. Recently, I placed all the modules within it on an online course platform called Thinkific (click here to go there), which is more convenient for you to use than YouTube.

 

I have recommended that my private clients do this self-paced program during my time off. The lack of embodiment of unconditional self-love manifests in many symptoms that many of them experience. This way, their transformation can continue in my absence.

I’m changing. What’s next?

 

You may have this question if you have gone through the sessions in the “Unconditional Self-Love Embodiment” program that I shared on my YouTube channel.

 

Before answering that, let me first share my deepest congratulations to you! I know you are not the person you were at the beginning of this program. Well done!

 

One of the most common questions I receive when my client is about to complete a program is – how can I sustain the change on my own?

 

The answer is quite elaborate:

  • Honour the changes you’ve had in these past few weeks and integrate them;
  • Celebrate YOU for choosing to go through such a profound process for what you wish;
  • Commit to what you want to do to follow up on some learnings and questions;
  • Commit to keeping new relevant habits.

 

 

You are the one who knows how much and how deeply you’ve changed. Acknowledge yourself, celebrate yourself, and commit to yourself more!

 

As you reach the end of the program, you can commit to following up on key insights, questions, discussions, and learnings that occurred during it.

Most importantly, commit to at least one new habit for the next few months.

Make your plan: do what by when. Having a plan is important so you won’t feel lost after such a profound shift.

 

New, relevant habits are key to your changing behaviours. Due to the subconscious reprogramming activities that you’ve done in this program, continuing with a new habit will not be difficult.

 

Change within will ask you to change how you connect with your outer world. Be prepared to receive some questions from others who sense your inner shift.

 

Some people will be pleased about it, some won’t. Just know that it is part of you leaving your old self behind.

 

You don’t need to justify yourself if you don’t want to. Just help people to get to know your “more authentic” self and teach them how to interact with you. Your boundaries will change, and you need to re-educate people about that.

It may feel uncomfortable initially, but it will get easier as you do it – trust me!

 

 

This is what session 7 (the final session) of the “Unconditional Self-Love Embodiment” program is about.

 

It helps you integrate all of what you have learned and processed, assess the shifts in how you love yourself, and create an action plan to sustain this new state of being and healthier habits beyond the program.  

 

The subconscious mind reprogramming will help you unblock limiting and unconscious patterns that work against you in making and acting on wise and loving choices to keep loving yourself unconditionally.

Who am I when I can’t…?

 

 

 

Who am I when I can’t achieve anything anymore?
What am I when I can’t achieve anything anymore?
 
 
These were the questions that I had to face as I rose from burnout at the end of 2008.

Never had I imagined that I had to face these types of questions ever until I had to.

Sitting with these two questions triggered so many intense and heavy emotions. My body tensed up, and anxiety rose up. It took many weeks to get comfortable with the questions. I had to answer them, though. The answers were going to be the foundation of my life, which I wanted and needed to rebuild.
 
I thought I knew who I was, that I knew my identity. I was convinced that being a go-getter and an achiever was a part of my identity.
During this period, I learnt that they were not even a part of my identity. Achieving and go-getting were something I did, but not who I was.
 
Moreover, through this process, I learnt that life is a journey of embodying MORE or LESS of who I am.
 
Experiencing burnout was a consequence of my life choices (mostly unconscious!). Until then, more of my choices unconsciously led me to embody less and less of who and what I truly am. I was on the path of “exceeding (others’s) expectations” and not “honouring what matters to me.” I was on an unhealthy, constricting path without realising it.
 
It was obvious that I had to change direction, and I did. I changed lanes, and I’ve been staying in this lane since.
 
Identity is not the same as roles, functions, or purpose. Identity is much deeper than that.
 
Your true organic identity is the signature vibration of your soul.
Roles, functions, and purpose are the ways or channels through which you express your identity. Two people who have the same exact roles would emanate different vibrations when they perform their roles. Everyone is unique.
 

To lead a peaceful and fulfilling life, you need to make a decision that feels true to you. This requires reconnecting with your essence/soul energy (which is your organic identity), and session 6 of the Unconditional Self-Love Embodiment program may support you in this process.
 
Session 6 focuses on deepening your understanding of what and who your AUTHENTIC SELF are. You will learn about how your current identity was developed and how that often disconnected you from your authentic selves.
