Since I was a little girl, I have been having a habit of refusing to accept a situation that is, in my perception, unfair or unjust. My parents recognized this since I was very young.
They both could laugh about it when they reflected on it in my 20s. They certainly weren’t laughing when I acted my impulses in my younger days.
They described me as relentless, stubborn, brave and often creative in coming up with ideas on what to do when I had a fixed goal in mind, even when they disapproved of it. They also told me that I would quietly do what I thought I needed to and not fuss about it along the process—too focused, at times, that I did not see anything else apart from the goal.
I am grateful to hear these reflections, as I am challenging myself to do something different today. This is why I am writing to you now, as I need your support.

In March this year, I embarked, together with a group of other facilitators and mentors, on what I considered the most important project I’ve ever done: Refugee Mentorship Program (RMP) which is co-led by Akino Tahir.
This fourteen-week program is put in place to support young refugees (18-24 years old) who are now located in Indonesia to:
In a nutshell, we would love to support these young life warriors to develop the most fundamental mindset, skills, expertise and network to rebuild their lives in such a difficult period.
Most of them left their country of origin unaccompanied – they moved without any of their families – in their early teens.
In this program, I supported these courageous souls to process and healed their traumas and reprogram their subconscious minds with beliefs and programs that would help them move forward in their life with more resilience, ease and hope.
This whole process was so intense for everyone involved and impacted them and me on such a deep level – the soul level. We met weekly for 14 weeks, and we all transformed throughout this journey.
I am not the same person I was at the beginning of this year.
Through this journey, I learned so much about healing, the human heart, and what matters more to me now during this period of my life.
With the help of Julie Grauel, one of my best friends and partner in turning reflection into stories, I finally started to verbally digest this journey into this new podcast episode (video and audio).
In it, I reflected on what I learned, realized and needed now. I also decided to ask for your help. What I want to continue actualizing in the future requires more heads and hearts than mine and the current people involved in this program.

I’ve been learning to read tarot cards this year. It’s my attempt to gain deeper insights from my subconscious and unconscious minds using my intuition about what my soul wants to tell me about the current stage in my path. In a tarot deck, there is a card called “Death”. As you see here – for all ends, there is a new beginning.
As abrupt and intense as the end may be, there is always a new beginning for something else deeper, better, bigger, further.
The death (of someone or something that you value and love) often, if not always, is an acceleration towards something that is meant to be, despite it always brings with it pains and.

Tatjana Radovanovic lost her son in a tragic accident in 2017 when he was blossoming to be an adult.

Most people would say they’d love to experience an abundance of joy in their lives.
Yet, how many are willing to do what it takes to be so?
It takes courage to step up to what one desires – to claim it, own it, and be at peace with it, even when what brings you joy may trigger others close to you.
This is the main reason why it is not a walk in the park to stay true to what uplifts you. The inspiration and the commitment to joy must be so much higher than the need to please and be accepted by others.
This latest episode of the Honest Hour is about Eli’s decision to choose joy by transitioning from being a female to a male. For him, the conscious choice to transition was not about trading genders but rather about feeling more like himself and choosing happiness and joy.
His reflection on the journey he has been in touched me so profoundly.
After the recording, Julie and I sat together for some time to allow what Eli shared to sink in, and we felt so inspired.
The human spirit is certainly not one to be underestimated.

I didn’t know what I got myself into when I decided to care for my dying mother for two years (2016-2017).
I had a genuine intention to be there for her, one that I made decades ago. It was important for me to do it, and I did it for me. I know that my late mother appreciated it.
The truth is that both my siblings and I were very involved in our parents’ lives, especially in my mother’s since my father passed away in 2012. Out of the three siblings, I was the one who had the most flexibility movement-wise and spent an extended period of time with my mother until she passed away. It was in total full time of 1 year spread in 2 years period.
No, we didn’t know what we got ourselves into.
No, we didn’t realize how intense the whole journey was.
No, we didn’t have a thorough plan in the beginning.
What we had was the loving intention and the commitment to make this work in the way that it can be.
Luckily, we were able to communicate well with one another to create some kind of system that worked for us eventually.
The whole journey, though, got me thinking a lot. I decided that I’d like to talk about this. I am so happy to hear that Rachelle Fuerer shares my view about this, and it is what the 3rd episode of the Death and Dying Series is about – How to care for the dying in a healthy way.
Caring for the dying is not for the fainted-hearted, and this will impact your life as you go through it and beyond.
Rachelle is an international counsellor, therapist and coach.
Many years ago, she personally experienced the slow decline of a loved one to death and was struck by how all support and attention seemed to focus on the dying and not on those closest to them.
She trained as a bereavement counsellor at a private hospice in Roodepoort, Johannesburg and gave her time to the dying and their families during the transition process and continued to support those left behind in finding their way back into their lives.
Having made her home in Switzerland, she has also completed Palliative Care support training here.
For those who did not wish for a traditional service to say farewell, she also created a non-denominational “Celebration of Life”, which she has led for many families and due to Corona now even by zoom link.
She continues to offer spiritual care to those faced with their end-of-life and those closest to them on request.

Like in birth and life, death also has its processes.
The dying process happens on all levels – emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Having had an active part in the dying process of both of my parents in two different periods that brought in two very different experiences got me reflected a lot over the past few years about what happens in the dying process. In this exploration, I had many discussions about it with Rachelle Fuerer. This is why, for this episode, I asked her to share her insight, knowledge and experiences about it.
I intend for this conversation to offer us an understanding that death is just like birth and life – it has many processes, and each of the process has stages. It can also help to be aware of the process we go through as we are about to start our death journey and when we support other people going through it (and this will be covered in the 3rd episode of the Death and Dying series that will be coming to you shortly).
My role for my clients is to catalyze their journeys in learning to live with a more awake and open heart daily. This conversation offers knowledge that one can turn some of them into skills, life skills. You start dying the moment you’re born – OSHO

How true is this sentence?
It took me a while to understand what this means and it impacts the way that I choose to live – moving towards death, more mindfully.
For many years, I’ve been asking myself why there are so many rituals, publications, and preparation connected to birth and life but not necessarily about death.
Are we scared thinking about it? Are we scared of accepting that we all will die? What are we fearful of?
One thing that has helped me get familiar and eventually comfortable with any topic is to speak about it, have a conversation about it, and, whenever possible, gather some facts about it.
Death is one of those topics of paramount importance in me integrating peace into my life.
I decided to speak to Rachelle Fuerer about it. I’ve known and worked with Rachelle for more than a decade.
She was the first therapist I worked with to help me go deep into my subconscious mind to heal deep wounds that contributed to the burnout I experienced in 2008. I have learnt so much from her on so many topics. We both finally agreed to create a series about Death and Dying:

You can’t let go of something you don’t know you have.

One thing I learnt in my healing journey is that I can’t let go of something that I don’t know I have. It makes sense, right?
I also know I’m right in saying that most of us, if not all of us, wish to experience success in our lives.
We may define success slightly differently, yet usually, there is a common currency of success – money, how much money we are earning.
We work hard and a lot to achieve success and money for years—some of us doing this at the high cost of something else in our lives, like self-care, self-love, peace of mind, sleep, rest, health, relationships, etc.
Yet, we keep at it as if there is no other way to be.
Some of us work for the money; some of us do this because of passion. A lot of us do it because we believe this is how life is. No matter what drives us to do it, money is a part of this.
Because of the burnout that I experienced at the end of 2008, I had to take a distance from my life to see what was there to regain my health and well-being back.
I asked myself why did I work so much yet could not even motivate myself to take care of my health and well-being simultaneously?
This is the thing that you may not know about me: When life calls me out, I answer and do the homework, even when it takes years to do so.
Burnout is one of those moments. I heard it loud and clear, and I responded to life: I hear you, and I will not want to be in a position where you’ll be calling me out like this ever again in the future.
So, I started my journey, questioning everything fundamentals in my life – what are the reasons I showed up the way I did for decades (I was 34 years old when I experienced burnout)? Working hard and achieving a lot was 2nd nature to me, and I did it without much fuss.
With the support of Subconscious Mind Therapists, I dove deeper and deeper within myself with every session. Hell yeah, it was often uncomfortable. But there was no way around it.
I still remembered how shock I was when I discovered that I had a fear of success.
WHAT?!?!? Does that even exist? That was what came to mind immediately.
To be successful was so ingrained in the achievement-driven family culture that I am a member of that to realize that I feared it was mind-blowing!
As my therapist helped me see the behaviours I had (some were conscious, some were not) stemming from this fear, I could not deny that I had it.
As we dig deeper, I realized the one emotion often reverberating (sometimes loudly, sometimes softly, yet always there) when I achieved success in different times of my life was GUILT. Guilt often came up when I achieved success!
As I chose to be radically honest with myself so I could heal, I was confronted with this truth. I often felt guilty for being successful.
This whole thing impacted my relationship with money and my default behaviours when I earned and used it.
This is what this podcast episode is all about. Ilana Jankowitz, a Mindful Money Mindset Coach and I will discuss in-depth – including how you can find out whether you have this fear of success and money.
Daily, both Ilana and I help our clients work through their deep-rooted fears and transmute them. This is one of the fears.
We can live our lives with more ease as long as we operate beyond our default subconscious mind programs. The first step is to be aware of what those programs are.
